Accessibility
Built to be usable by everyone.
Last reviewed June 28, 2026.
My commitment
I want mikemobbs.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. The site is built and reviewed against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
Conformance status
The site aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Conformance has been assessed through automated testing and a manual review of the code, across both desktop and mobile. Measures in place include:
- Semantic structure with landmarks (header, main, navigation, footer) and a skip-to-content link
- Full keyboard operability, with visible focus indicators on interactive elements
- Text and interface contrast that meets the AA thresholds on the site’s dark theme
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
- Forms with associated labels, clear error messages, and status updates announced to assistive technology
- A layout that reflows to small screens and respects browser zoom and reduced-motion preferences
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time task. As the site grows, I continue to review and improve it. Some third-party components may not be fully within my control, and I work to address any gaps as they come to light.
Feedback
If you encounter a barrier or have a suggestion, please email me at mikemobbs@gmail.com. I take accessibility seriously and will respond and address issues as quickly as I can.
